High School Speech & Debate

Powering High School Speech and Debate

For nearly a century, the National Forensic League has provided meaningful recognition and support for high school students desiring to excel in speech and debate. Our programs and resources are designed to motivate and inspire students (and coaches!) to reach their fullest potential, as well as establish standards for the entire speech and debate community. The League believes that all students should benefit from speech and debate, so while our National Tournament represents the ultimate in achievement within our membership, our honor society rewards participation in the activity across the board.

As our society communicates increasingly faster in this age of information, our mission is perhaps more relevant than ever. We envision a future where all young adults can communicate effectively through various mediums and have the confidence to speak up with conviction, advocating for themselves and others. Our job is to make that future a reality.
